Foto Ramblas
Limited edition photographies from 1956 to 1998
Foto Ramblas was an emblematic photographic studio that was open from 1956 to 1998 in Barcelona. Famous vedettes, actors, boxers, circus performers and contortionists visited the studio. In many occasions, those photographs catapulted them into the stardom of the Paralelo, the effervescent artistic avenue of Barcelona at that time and also helped them to be hired in theaters and show venues.
Tate Modern gallery in London hosted a photographic exhibition of the studio Foto Ramblas with their Street and Studio exhibition.

Max Jacob at the Ceret Museum of Modern Art
From 29.06 until 01.12.2024
On the 80th anniversary of Max Jacob’s death, the Musée d'Art Moderne de Céret, located in the South of France, pays homage to him. A prolific man and very active in the Paris of the avant-gardes. An artist who knew how to bring pictorial cubism into writing, especially poetry and novels.
By stopping by Max Jacob’s letters, it shows how Jacob supported Pablo Picasso back in 1901. He took him to his room on boulevard Voltaire and introduced him to the art market. Together they also frequented shows and after attending the circus, the artist from Malaga executed a sculpture in which Jacob was a source of inspiration with his features. It highlights how Jacob and Picasso used to feed each other in in the cubist practices.
The Museum of Modern Art in Céret invites you to see not only the work of Max Jacob, but also that of his contemporaries, such as Juan Gris, Pablo Picasso, Jean Metzinger, Manolo Hugué, Eva Gouel, Jean Cocteau, among others.
